  if you have studied psychology for so many years, how can you say that anything a female does 'inspires' rape it's all about the rapist wanting 'power over', has nothing to do with sexual provocation
  
  It was meant in jest, not in seriousness, a rapist is a theif who has no respect for the property or body of others, often seeing himself as so important that no one else matters... Theives are inspired by opportunity, carelessness and ignorance of their marks... this cannot be ignored either. One fundamental problem with child molestation is that children are so sheltered by their parents fears that they don't even know they are being molested and so they don't know to report it.

  i was just reading through this new brochure "what does god require of us?

  " that was "placed" with me last week.. it is set up to be studied with a householder in short sessions - each lesson is only about 6-7 paragraphs.

  the first three are quite simple - general statements with a supporting scripture.

  True - likewise, there is a strong possibility that you can not prove the alternative.

  Which is why its hard to fight a faith.... but adopting SUGGESTIONS is how the road to hypnosis is paved.

  after all, you find the first suggestion reasonable, there is some entity with intellegence behind the apparent design you find in nature... then the second suggestion becomes easier to swallow that this very entity had the desire to communicate its intention via a book to mankind... and the third suggestion becomes easier, there is one group which represents this intention to mankind by following the books instructions... each suggestion leads to less and less options until you find yourself agreeing with whatever you are being told because you have accepted all the premises so far... after a while you do not even see any alternatives.

  entrancement is not nearly as hard as people wish you to believe.

  hypnosis 101:

  most people associate hypnosis with being some sort of trance state.. but the key to hypnosis is not that at all, its the ability to get someone to accept a SUGGESTION. a post hypnotic suggestion is one that has been slipped into your mind without your conscious challenge and often without anything to make you remember you even heard it as a suggestion.

  a prime example is when someone like a JW or a Mormon asks a doubter to PRAY TO GOD AND ASK HIM IF THESE THINGS ARE THE TRUTH.... sound simple and straight forward and without any sign of hypnosis, but it makes a lot of assumptions which do the trick.

  1st. it assume there is a god that one can ask and get answers from... and this part is where the con job begins, since this is where few challenge what is going into their head. Any idea NOT challenged is stored in memory as a valid statement or a truth... assuming for a moment that there is NO real god[s]... you have programmed your own subconscious with the idea that God is real anyway.

  2nd if you ask your subconscious any question it is going to respond with whatever is stored in it....and if it does not know it will still make something up based on what is already there. ARE THESE THINGS TRUE?? key point, you are NOT challenging these things at this point, and thus they have been programmed as valid ideas which have nothing saying they ARE wrong... so the answer is likely to come back to you in the form of a deep feeling not necessarily in words, that indicates that YES THESE THINGS ARE TRUE.

  The more they help you program the ideas associated with the god they preach, the more your subconscious builds this god into you and allows you to FEEL its presence and will whenever you ask for it.

  after many years of being a JW, scriptures would just pop into my head relevant to whatever question was on my mind, GOD was speaking to me through his word, but I always felt something a miss in that... why couldn't god simply speak to me directly instead of making such an odd system? why did I have to rely on static words if there was a living dynamic god? there were plenty of excuses for why god did not work that way, but deep down none of them were really satisfying to me... and I always felt that there was a strong possibilty that I could not prove, that there really was no god at all.

  What is relevant is that often pedophiles visit nudist resorts. As you said nudism is a family issue? Is that so? I am aware of the fact that people go to nudist resorts and take explicit pictures of children. This person puts this on the internet and the pedophiles can download these images. I don't know if you are aware of this?

  This is not unknown and not without validity, there are pedophiles who come to nudist resorts, but that is not really much different from pedophiles who frequent every other aspect of life as JWs now well know... as far as taking pictures, that is done elsewhere as well... problems common in society are not much amplified in nudist resorts, often times they are lessened... at least here in the US, the nudist resorts are very cautious about pedophiles and I have met several nudist police officers who frequent resorts and keep their eyes open.

  after leaving JWs and studying psychology for 13+ years, I do not see rape perhaps in the same way as you think...

  I see a rapist as a person who is alienated, feeling unable to get what others get through normal means-- a relationship where people have sex out of mutal love... it seems to me that a rapist has put his own desires and needs above anyone elses as if no one else really means anything or matters... others are just there for his usage, they are not seen as equals or fellow caring and feeling entities.

  St Augustine of Hippo circa 4th cent. CE said that women were the gates of hell and he hated them for his uncontrollable passions that he felt they inspired within him.... basically he felt pain at what he could not get and a desire to destroy the source of his pain. if you see someone as worthy of destruction, you also can justify anything that you do against them... this is mental illness and irrational thinking which has been fostered by many factors.

  The funny thing about clothing, I dont know of a single incident where a nudist female was ever raped because of what she was not wearing.... nudism does not inspire rape.... must be the wearing of clothes,

  Project Lucy - will it mean anything to you?

  unless we are individually related to the ostrich we know that the human genome has been successfully mapped.

  we are also currently mapping the genome of the chimpanzee - a project soon to be completed (with the advent of new technology the chimp dna will be mapped much more quickly).. once we have the human dna map and the chimpanzee dna map it will become quite possible to take the dna from a human father and a chimpanzee mother and combine them.

  we will then be able to insert the dna sequence into an embryo and have it carried to term by a human female.

  the difference between humans and our closest relatives the chimps is about 1.6% in DNA terms, that probably means we are compatible enough to produce a sterile cross bread like a horse and donkey can.

  Between humans our DNA drift is less than .01%... going back 5000 years would not be enough drift time to make any real difference that would be noticible.

  DNA drift takes 100s of thousands of years... the speculation is that chimps split off 6million years ago.... so if you go back any time since then you will likely be able to have human offspring with only variations that we see as cultural today.

  however to go backwards in time you would have to rewind the entire universe... not a likelihood.

  **As for the Jews having no concept of a Trinity, I would suggest that a fellacious comment, as per your own comments. **Trinitarian worship was contemporary to them, as practiced in surrounding nations which they had dealings with.

  the Jews having no concept of a Trinity-- for their God. Clearly Jehovah refers to himself always I, not We and prophets as HE, never as they. Jews to this day maintain that their God was ONE unlike the other god[s] surrounding them which were often multiples of three, generally a Mother and son with a shadowy father who is often the a mysterious entity who dies and is reincarnated as his own son.

  first, it is found in a chapter that begins with, "blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven," and ends with, "therefore you are to be perfect, as your heavenly father is perfect.

  " second, it falls in a particular section that begins with, "for i say to you, that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the scribes and pharisees, you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven.

  does being "poor in spirit" result in getting a person into heaven, or is it the person who achieves "righteousness that surpasses that of the scribes and pharisees"?

  There is an assumption that christianity was intended to be a force for good and light....

  remember this SHEPERDS are PREDATORS who fool SHEEP into a FALSE sense of security and this so they can fleece and slaughter them with efficiency.

  Religion has shown itself to me, to be the oldest con game in existance with a geat number of unconscious participants who do not have the desire to fight against the system which they are born into... while many seem to believe genuinely, as I once did, it is out of ignorance of consequences of what seems like righteous sounding rules as you site above...

  in Game theory the golden rule - do unto others is not considered the best stradegy, it allows opponents to slam you time and time again while you do not attempt to punish them... but from a perspective given that your reward is in heaven, dont worry about it here, that can even seem to make sense.

  Paul was persecuting the followers of the WAY, which was likely a revolutionary group who predated christianity by over a hundred years. there is evidence from the dead sea that followers of the teacher of righteousnes and the war of the sons of light was a lot older than the Jesus myths.

  I just read an interesting site last night, there is an Italian atheist putting together evidence to charge the Vatican with fraud in Italian court claiming to show that Jesus never existed by was a pure fiction invented by the church by combining elements of zealots lead by a John of Gamala and his brother whos names bear striking corrospondance to the apostles, and, gnostic teachings modified by the church to suit its own ends. it also gives a very detailed accounting of the extra-biblical references of Jesus and shows clearly why most of them were much later church forgeries... the interesting thing is that it chips away at the supposed historical foundations of christianity and shows a massive fraud more likely than a real Jesus existing.

  I dont know if Jesus existed or not, but I do know that no sufficient evidence has ever been shown me that he really existed and a lot of things have caused me to doubt it.

  I think I had some similar ideas going in and probably still have them now... hard to say.

  2. Are you 'out' there? as in, not afraid to be seen on an apostate site, or known to be a former JW?

  Its been 13+ years and I don't know any active JWs other than a guy at work who does not know I am an Ex and is not likely to read this.

  3. Are you angry, bitter or sad, as a result of your exposure and participation in JW activities/lifestyle?

  No one had a gun to my head, I was imprisoned by my own ignorance and freed by my own awaking.

  4. Do you still have this feeling 'Armageddon' could still come anyday or in the future?

  I think humans have the means to simulate Armageddon but I don't see it as a necessity coming.

  5. What was your biggest epiphany that lead you to leave the JWs, or at least make plans to do so?

  That they were using subliminals in their art work and they had bold face lied about it.

  I have come to see no difference between Jewish mythology and any other.. but I still read it from time to time to show others why.

  I believe we are all together the ONLY reality which is conscious and living and as a whole might be labelled as GOD. [Generator Of Diversity]

  I seek to understand reality and not condemn or compare it to ideal fantasies any more.

  I suspect I became a JW because of regretting a murder I committed in my last life... so I won't do that again (^_^)
